David Schmitz
David Schmitz is the Founder and Principal of Amplify Leadership Advisors, where he partners with mission-driven organizations navigating leadership transitions, strategic complexity, and organizational change. His work focuses on interim executive leadership, strategic planning, operating and financial model development, and leadership coaching.
David brings senior leadership experience from nationally recognized cultural institutions, including Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Steppenwolf Theatre Company, where he supported organizations through periods of growth, transition, and operational evolution. He is regularly engaged by boards and executive teams as a trusted advisor during moments that require clarity, steadiness, and informed decision-making.
He holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, grounding his advisory work in both formal leadership training and deep sector fluency across the nonprofit and arts landscape. Read More…

Samanta Cubias
Samanta Cubias (she/her) is an Advisor at Amplify Leadership Advisors, a role she has held since 2025, supporting organizations through strategic and operational challenges in the arts and nonprofit sectors. She is a leader in theater management with experience spanning institutional administration, advisory work, and equity-centered change initiatives.
Her previous experience includes roles at Yale Repertory Theatre and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Samanta is deeply committed to dismantling systemic barriers in the arts; at the David Geffen School of Drama, she led initiatives to provide travel subsidies for prospective students and contributed to the redesign of the school’s antiracist theater curriculum.
She is a graduate of the Theater Management program at Yale University and the Yale School of Management, and holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley.

Cassy Sanders
Cassy Sanders (she/her) is an Administrator at Amplified Leadership Advisors, where she supports the operational and client-facing work of the practice. She manages scheduling, coordinates communications, and maintains the day-to-day systems that keep consulting engagements running smoothly. With a strong focus on organization, responsiveness, and relationship management, Cassy helps ensure that each client engagement is handled with care and precision.
Cassy brings a diverse administrative background spanning nonprofit arts organizations, consulting practices, and small businesses. Prior to joining Amplified Leadership Advisors in 2026, she held a range of administrative and operational roles supporting executive leadership and the day-to-day operations of mission-driven organizations.
She holds a BFA in Theatre from Cornish College of the Arts. Her background in the performing arts informs her deep appreciation for the theater field and her commitment to supporting the leaders who shape it.
